INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., June 24, 2026
Schneider Geospatial, a leading provider of GIS-based SaaS solutions for state and local governments, today announced the acquisition of New England GeoSystems (NEGEO), a Connecticut-based geospatial consulting and software company serving municipalities throughout the Northeast.
The acquisition expands Schneider Geospatial’s presence in New England and strengthens its portfolio of parcel management, permitting and licensing, and asset management solutions. As part of the acquisition, NEGEO’s MapExpress solution will be integrated into Schneider Geospatial’s popular Beacon platform, which is used by more than 1,000 local government jurisdictions across 35 states.
“This acquisition represents another step in our vision to build a trusted, GIS-centric platform that is core to how local governments manage property, infrastructure, services and public access to information,” said Jeff Corns, CEO of Schneider Geospatial. “NEGEO advances that strategy by deepening our municipal GIS expertise, expanding our presence in the Northeast and bringing MapExpress into Beacon. Together, we can deliver more comprehensive solutions to the communities we serve while continuing to invest in the people, products and customer relationships that make this work successful.”
For nearly two decades, NEGEO has helped municipalities develop and maintain GIS programs that support planning, public works, assessment, infrastructure management and citizen engagement. The company provides GIS consulting, spatial data management, and web-based mapping solutions that help local governments improve operations, expand public access to information, and make more informed decisions.
Brian Dooley, managing member of New England GeoSystems, will join Schneider Geospatial along with the current NEGEO team. Together, the combined organization will provide local governments with broader access to geospatial expertise, cloud-based technologies and integrated solutions that connect mapping, property data, permitting, licensing and asset management workflows.
"For years, our team has helped Connecticut communities develop, maintain, expand, and steward their municipal GIS through changing administrations and technology," said Brian Dooley, managing member of New England GeoSystems. "Joining Schneider Geospatial creates new opportunities for our customers and employees by combining our geospatial experience with a broader portfolio of government technology solutions. Together, we will deliver more integrated solutions while continuing to provide the partnership our clients value."
Existing NEGEO customers will continue working with the team they know while gaining access to Schneider Geospatial’s broader technology resources and long-term investment in local government technology.
